First official hair cut!!

Cassius had his first official hair cut on Saturday..(Aunt Nancy actually did the VERY first hair cut over labor day). His hair was literally in his eyes all the time!
This came after a tough week of hives and ear infections...we found out on Monday that he is allergic to penicillin but unfortunately the allergic reaction consisted of hives that lasted all week!
But we are on the mend now....and certainly won't take penicillin any time soon!
Looking forward to his first birthday!!

Guess Who's Walking?

After a week or two taking his first steps, Cassius started walking last week.  Just a day after his 11 month mark, he stood up and took off across the room!  We've spent everyday since then finding all sorts of new things to get in to!

9 months old!

Playing with Grandma Joan

Grandma Joan made a trip down to Nashville to help out for a week and we all had a great time!  Cassius had fun playing all day at home instead of going to day care, and he learned a new trick!

Cassius made a beautiful little project for me at school....complete with smudgy hand prints and footprints.  I wondered why there were little traces of blue on one of his fingers!

We also have ventured into the solid food world! Cereal has been going pretty well so we started with squash just yesterday....its certainly not his favorite! I tried to capture the sour face he kept making but never quite had the button pressed soon enough.  I think he's ready to move on to sweet potatoes!

Cassius is rolling around in every direction and kicking his feet like crazy....not quite sitting up on his own but soon will be once he learns to balance himself.  He hits the 6 month milestone May 19! I cant believe it has gone by so fast....I feel like the luckiest mom...I don't know how I was the one blessed with such a good little boy!

4 month video

It's been a while, but here is a short compilation video of some recent Cassius footage.  He has started to roll over from his back to tummy, which is a new talent!  We're so proud!  His personality comes through more and more everyday and he's as happy as can be!  Hope you enjoy the video...thanks NYU for my film degree, I'm an award winning videographer!
